The Dads of Duckfeet USA
Meet the Duckfeet Dads
Say hello to Todd, Frank & Justin—the dads at Duckfeet USA! We asked them to drop some parenthood wisdom, while showing off the go-to pair they'll be wearing for Father’s Day. Scroll through to see what they said!
Todd
What piece of wisdom have you gained from being a parent?
“With 4 grown children now in their early 30s and late 20s, the problems and challenges they seek to solve are mostly created by my generation of aging baby boomers…my children are now the ‘elders’ as they navigate these challenges. The ‘wisdom’ is to—now as a parent in my 60s—move aside and support them from behind, no longer out in front.”
What’s something you didn’t expect about being a parent?
“Parenting, I realize, isn’t over once the kids finish schooling and go out into the world… but morphs into ‘friending’, ‘adulting’, ‘assisting’ (when asked), and collaborating. It's a never-ending relationship journey with the most important people in your life. I never saw that coming. It only gets better with age and time.”

Frank
What piece of wisdom have you gained from being a parent?
“Newsflash. You (the parent) don’t know everything. Spend the time to listen to your kids.”
What’s something you didn’t expect about being a parent?
“What I didn’t expect is that holy cow… my parents were right… about some things… most things.. Listen to them.”

Justin
What piece of wisdom have you gained from being a parent?
"It just keeps getting better. A friend described being a parent that way and I've found that to be very true. The love never stops growing.”

A dad joke to go
What does an oyster say when you pay it a compliment?
Aw, shucks.
