Crafted in New Hampshire, Rooted in Community. For our 50th anniversary, we partnered with New Hampshire maker Nicole Quiñones, founder of Quiñohome, to create a one-of-a-kind candle that blends Danish heritage with New England warmth. Nicole’s joyful approach to craft, her love of small-batch making, and her genuine connection to sustainability, color, and her local community made her the perfect collaborator for this milestone celebration.

From jar to nose, Quiñohome soy candles & home products are made of clean, predominantly US-sourced materials, and are both visually appealing and intoxicatingly fragrant. Each scent is custom-blended and carefully curated to evoke specific memories, whether it's something as mundane as cleaning on a Sunday morning or as special as taking our first walk through the mountains after moving to New Hampshire. We hope that our commitment to quality, creativity, and community will inspire others to live their dreams.

The Creative Behind the Glow

When she’s not blending fragrances, you’ll find Nicole nurturing her creative spark through fashion — adding whimsical details to her clothing, or hand-stitching quilted jackets that blend artistry with warmth. After nearly a decade in the fashion world, she stepped away when it no longer lit her up. Candle making brought that spark back.

Warm, energetic, and endlessly inventive, Nicole pours her personality into everything she makes. Her Dover, NH studio — inside a historic mill building — is where she spends long days creating, usually in a pair of her favorite brown Duckfeet Odense, which keep her cozy as she works.

We first met Nicole during one of our makers markets and were instantly drawn to her sustainable ethos, her infectious energy, and the thoughtful way she approaches each scent. Discovering she was right in our own New Hampshire backyard made this collaboration feel like fate. Her dedication to small-batch craft mirrors the values we’ve carried for 50 years — authenticity, simplicity, and materials that last.

Crafting the Anniversary Scent

Together, we created a fragrance that celebrates where we’ve been and where we’re going.
The blend brings together:

• New England pine, honoring the forests surrounding our USA office
  
• Warm Duckfeet leather, evoking the comfort of a well-loved pair
  
• Sweet Danish apples, a nod to our heritage — simple, honest, and welcoming
  

Hand-poured by Nicole using 100% soy wax and a cotton wick, this 7oz candle burns for 40 hours of cozy, grounded warmth. It’s a scent that feels like coming home — and a gift we’re proud to share with you.
