MY STORY:
It all started with a ripped pair of ski pants. At my core, I am a mom who worries about the world we are leaving our children. Every year, 92 million tons of clothing waste ends up in landfills. When duct tape could not save my beloved, 20 year old ski pants, I could not bring myself to throw them out. I decided to have a little fun, cut up these pants, give them NEW life and BirdieBlue was born. Daydreams of chasing #birdieblueadventures, pushed our founder, Kate Harvey, to trade in corporate life to bring the Fanny Pack back with hopes of inspiring others to find joy, live in color, and join the fight to save Mother Earth.
WHAT I MAKE:
BirdieBlue is a woman lead, lifestyle brand on a mission to save as many clothes from landfills as possible by turning old ski and snowboard clothes into fanny packs, sling bags, and carry all totes. BirdieBlue bags are designed to inject FUN into your everyday adventures whether you are hiking mountains, skiing through powder, walking your dog, or picking up your kids from school. Since its founding in 2022, BirdieBlue has saved more than 6000 pieces of old gear from landfills and is showing no signs of stopping on its mission to keep our skies blue, mountains snowcapped, and adventure game strong.
