Welcome to Lolland
Lolland is Denmark’s fourth-largest island and is surrounded by the Baltic Sea, Fehmarn Belt, and Langeland Belt. Lolland is also known as the “Pancake Island” as the terrain it is as flat as a pancake on a pan. Historically, Lolland was known for its large sugar production, and there are still many sugar beet fields across the island. Today, the only remaining sugar factory is in Nakskov. On Lolland, you will find Knuthenborg Safari Park and the water park Lalandia, which, curiously, is Latin for Lolland.
