One-of-a-Kind: Vintage Mod Geometric Blanket Flora Jacket (S)
This Flora Jacket is made from a vintage blanket found at an estate sale, and features creamy and tan geometric pattern. The pockets and outer edge are bound in a rich burgundy cotton/linen blend along with the inner collar, and the front packets, and sleeve cuffs a stunning wool plaid fabric that was passed on to my assistant from her mother, and possibly even grandmother before finding its final home in this special piece.
This style jacket features a scooped side hem, bound edges, plackets and inner collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. (I am unsure of the fiber content - I believe a poly blend; it is very cushy and soft with some light fuzz and a bit of pilling as pictured). Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
For reference, I am 5'7" and my body measurements are: 34.5" bust, 26.5" waist, 35.5" hips.

Chest (armpit to armpit): 24.5"
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 22.5”
Sleeve (armpit to sleeve hem): 18"
Arm length (against the collar to sleeve opening): 28.5"
